Rajiv Haikerwal (Raj) – Managing Director

My goal is to ensure that you have the very best experience at Rise Sleep Health with fully vaccinated, knowledgeable and highly experienced staff and with a suite of therapies to help diagnose and treat your sleep conditions. I have 19 years of experience managing and owning health facilities across Australia with the last 12 in the Gold Coast. Prior to this I worked in IT and Management in Australia,  The Netherlands, UK and South East Asia.

Mitchell Rudd – Senior Sleep Scientist & Operations Manager

I oversee the operations of the whole business. I have over 11 years of experience in Sleep Apnoea diagnosis, treatments and follow-up. If there is any feedback you want to provide me then please call and ask for me and I will endeavour to help you in any way I can. When I’m not in the office, my passion is motorcycles, and I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking and spotting wildlife.

Heath Cooper – Marketing Representative

It is my job to ensure all our referring doctors are updated with the latest information and I do daily visits to multiple doctors across Northern NSW, Gold Coast and South Brisbane. You’ll probably see my car Rise Sleep Health car on the road, give me a wave!

Jordan Walter – Sleep Health Practitioner

I work at the Robina Sleep Health Hub and enjoy helping our patients and communicating with them to find the best therapy for their chronic condition – Sleep Apnea which we manage as a team at Rise Sleep Health.

Rebecca Last – Sleep Health Practitioner

It is my job to help guide you through your home sleep study and provide you with a greater insight into your potential sleep disorder diagnosis. I always try to find the most appropriate therapy for this chronic condition.

Tiegan Rudd – Administration Lead & Sleep Health Technician

I try to think outside the box in my role at Rise Sleep Health and develop strategies that will benefit our company. I’ve just returned from Maternity leave and am a proud mother of our (Mitch and my) son, Fynne.

Maddeline Marks (Maddie) – Sleep Health Technician

It’s my job to ensure that you have a clean and hygienic sleep study at Rise Sleep Health. I also work with the Rise Sleep Health team to ensure all our equipment at our Robina store is presented to you in a safe and sterile condition which is always how Rise has operated.

Allanah Lawson – Sleep Health Administrator

I will be the first person you speak to at Rise, and it’s my job to help you understand what it is that we do. I love helping people, so if there’s any questions you have, please don’t hesitate to ask! When I’m not working, I love getting out for a good walk, or curling up with a book.

Our Sleep Physicians

Dr. Archit Chawla – BSc(Adv) MBBS FRACP MIPH MHM

Dr. Chawla is a consultant Respiratory and Sleep Physician, having completed his training from Sydney. His areas of interest include sleep disorders and respiratory failure, airways disease including asthma and COPD.

Dr. Veenu Mubarak – MBBS FRACP

Dr. Mubarak completed his medical degree in India and his postgraduate training in the United Kingdom and Australia. He completed his fellowship in Sleep Medicine at The Prince Charles Hospital. His main clinical area of interest includes chronic lung diseases (COPD, asthma, and bronchiectasis) and lung cancer. He also has special interest in various sleep related disorders and management of excessive sleepiness.


Dr. Himanshu Garg trained extensively in Australia and India and has served as head of Respiratory & Sleep Medicine services of large tertiary care hospitals. He has been awarded both for his clinical work and community initiatives. His special areas of interest include Respiratory Infections & Bronchiectasis, Tuberculosis, Airway diseases – Asthma, COPD, Occupational & Interstitial Lung Diseases, Lung Cancer, Sleep Disorders – Sleep Apnea, Insomnia.


Rise Sleep Health started in 2016 originally called Safe & Healthy Sleep. This was changed to “Vive Sleep Health” and then to Rise Sleep Health as the feedback from our referring General Practitioners as well as our patients was that after visiting a Rise health hub, patients have more energy to “Rise” to a new day with greater health and vitality.
