Checking Efficacy of your MAS Trial at Rise Sleep Health

When you perform an in clinic MAS Trial at Rise Sleep Health, we provide you a free Level 4 Sleep Study Test for two weeks. You will use this on three out of 14 nights on days 1, 4 and 11, in these tests we can see if there are any improvements to your Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

Final Check before making the Custom MAS Device

At Rise Sleep Health, in clinic patients, on successful completion of a MAS Trial with excellent results with the Level 4 Sleep Testing device, we will take pictures of your jaw using proprietary software and upload these to our system and check that your mouth and teeth can accommodate a custom made MAS.

A customised device is better suited to individuals because it fits snugly. The material, size and the way the upper and lower parts of MAS connect can be tailored to meet the satisfaction levels of an individual. Understanding Sleep Apnea

Here are some facts about sleep apnea to increase awareness and help patients find the right treatment.

Snoring is more than just a loud and annoying noise. It can be an indicator of a Sleep Breathing Disorder (SBD) that can be very serious. Approximately 5% Australians have SBD. The most common form of an SBD is Obstructive Sleep Apnea, a medical condition where your tongue and soft tissues close off your airway and stop air from entering your lungs.

  • 70% of heart attack patients have mild OSA.
  • 86% of obese type 2 Diabetic patients suffer from Sleep Apnea.
  • 43% of patients with mild OSA have hypertension.
