How CPAP Machines Work?

Benefits of CPAP Therapy
CPAP therapy helps treat obstructive sleep apnea and boosts sleep quality. It has several other benefits, including:

CPAP therapy can alleviate snoring by keeping the upper airway open while the person is sleeping.

Sleep apnea can affect daytime alertness because of disturbed sleep at night. CPAP therapy eliminates this problem.

It improves the overall health of people suffering from sleep apnea by reducing blood pressure and the risk of cardiovascular problems.

CPAP therapy can enhance mental health by improving mood and reducing anxiety and stress caused due to obstructive sleep apnea.

What Is CPAP Therapy?
Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy utilises a machine to deliver air pressure to patients who struggle to breathe normally while sleeping at night. The CPAP machine is connected to the patient's mask, opening the airway and stopping the throat from collapsing.
CPAP is a simple machine that pumps air through a mask you wear at night. It's designed to hold your airway open while you are asleep. It sends air at pressure into your upper airway to stop it from collapsing or narrowing. Your sleep clinic or the machine itself will set the pressure for you.
CPAP is the most effective treatment if you have Moderate to Severe OSA. If you have Mild OSA, CPAP is only recommended if your symptoms affect your quality of life or other treatment options have not worked.
